Summer in Riyadh is a time for hiding under a rock and trying to keep cool.  My rock this summer was my sewing room together with friends from Seder in the Quilting Room on Seder.  During this "hibernation" I finished 2 UFO's, shared techniques to make table runners using insertions, needle turn with freezer paper, curves and made a wedding quilt with all the pieces cut on the Go.  The quilt was embellished with  machine embroideries.  I also decided to use the walking foot to quilt the table runners and wedding quilt with a very pleasing result. I will try and post some photos of my summer sewing.

Weddings, travels to Australia and Turkey, desert trips and special quilts for friends and family have kept me quiet. Now it is summer here in Riyadh so time to stay indoors to finish projects, start new ones and write this Blog.
